Qiana James

Founder, CEO

Qiana obtained her BBA in Entrepreneurship & Management from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. She is a graduate of the prestigious Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship, one of the Nation’s Leading Entrepreneurship Programs. She previously worked as a Major Account Executive for Concentra, a division of Select Medical. There she was able to help employers find solutions to their employee health needs by promoting health & wellness. There she learned the importance of the client experience within healthcare.

She saw a unique need within the home care industry to focus on the client’s overall experience from the initial onboarding to their interaction with their assigned caregiver as well as follow up and resolution of any issues.

Chanel Williams

Executive Director 

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Chanel brings marketing, sales, and administrator backgrounds to Friendly Faces. From her first job with Service Corporation International helping families design memorials for their loved ones to working in the healthcare industry, Chanel understands how to comfort and empathize with individuals going through tough times.

Her diverse background in the industry allows Chanel the flexibility and knowledge to ensure that the operations side of the business is running smoothly. She has a personal attachment to caregiving; her grandmother had Alzheimer’s and her baby brother has Down Syndrome, so she understands the feeling of strangers coming into a home. With this first-hand feeling, her goal is to make her teams caregiving more personal than transactional, while helping to guide families on the right next steps to take for their loved one(s). Chanel’s passion for helping those that are unable to help themselves spans all ages, as she has chosen to advocate for not only seniors in need but children as well. 

Chanel, believes education is key when it comes to choosing the right care. Understanding how confusing and overwhelming it can be, she thrives on teaching families what differentiates home care from home health while discussing possibilities for her team to intervene if needed. She trains her teams on the best home care practices, different methods on improving and developing stronger, more efficient processes, the importance of a first impression, and how to always follow through with compassion and empathy. 

In her personal time when she isn’t spending time with her children, Chanel has served on new members committees and young professional committees within the local Chambers of Commerce, works as a board member for a non-profit organization, and volunteering as a bilingual reader in local elementary schools. She joins the Friendly Faces Team, as their Executive Director and is looking forward to serving the community alongside her fellow Friendly Faces! 

Jonathan James

Chief Learning & Operating Officer (CLOO)

Jonathan is a highly experienced learning and development professional skilled in developing and delivering training focused on changing behavior and increasing productivity in accordance with business needs. He has conducted training domestically across the U.S., as well as internationally. He is skilled at identifying key competencies, developing and facilitating effective training programs, providing essential internal consulting, and having strong problem resolution capabilities.

Acknowledged for providing excellent customer service, possessing a strong adaptability to learn and facilitate new processes and procedures, and providing training that drives clear comprehension and behavior change. Friendly Faces is fortunate to have someone with his diverse talent on the team.  At Friendly Faces Jonathan serves as a Board of Director member and he also overseas all training initiatives and programs including employee engagement, leadership growth, and educational content development.

Ciera Outin

Administrative Assistant

Ciera Outin graduated from Yes Prep Gulfton as Valedictorian of her class and an AP Scholar with Distinction in 2015. Since her graduation, she has dedicated her life to helping others in her Bible ministry and has proven herself an effective Administrative Assistant, achieving #1 in Customer Service before the end of her first year at Friendly Faces Senior Care. She manages and facilitates much of the hiring process and provides clerical support with diligence and attention to detail. She is known for her genuine smile and warm personality.

Adrienne Turnbull

Payroll & Billing Specialist

Adrienne Turnbull is a proud Texas Southern University graduate. She completed her studies in 2006 obtaining a B.S. in Health Care Administration. She was number 2 in her graduating class for the School of Health Sciences. She is a professional and innovative administrative support specialist with the ability to keep daily office operations efficient and maintain strong client relations. She is passionate for customer service, a self-starter and multitasker with effective communication and leadership skills.

Nicki Sample

Talent Acquisition, Development & Training Manager

Nicki has worked in the healthcare field for 20+ years beginning as a Nurse Assistant.  She is a licensed Insurance Agent with a successful past experience in the Life and Health insurance field. Her father and grandmother were among numerous family members depending on her for their care before passing away. The personal side of this experience allows Nicki to thrive in the Training Manager position identifying employees that have the skills and talent to assist clients with Friendly Faces Senior care most efficiently.

Angie Hogan

Head of Office Operations

Angie, was born and raised in the windy city of Chicago.  After receiving her high school diploma, she enrolled into Harold Washington College, earning her certificate as a CNA. Wanting to further her education, she enrolled at the University of Phoenix and began taking online courses, earning her Associates of Arts degree. Angie enrolled back in school and obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Ministry Leadership. 

Angie has worked her way up starting as a CNA to Personnel Assistant to Recruiting Coordinator.  Now, employed with Friendly Faces Senior Care, she is excited to be working as the Head of Office Operation. Angie has 17 years of combined experience in both the medical and home care fields. She is excited to be a part of a great organization and team! 

Eugene Everest

PaPa, Client Ambassador

Eugene is originally from New Orleans but grew up and attended school in Houston, Texas.  After graduating from Jack Yates high school he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served for 15 years. While in the service he was trained in electronics. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force he worked for Xerox and IBM and then later started an office cleaning business before retiring. Although now suffering with Dementia, he still has his strong work ethic and presently volunteers at Friendly Faces serving as our client ambassador, engaging in activities, marketing & overall promoting advocacy for senior clients like himself. He is affectionately know as “PaPa.”

Amber McGowen

Community Relations Manager – Bay Area Houston

Amber received her Bachelors in Science & Interdisciplinary Studies Degree from University of Houston-Clear Lake. She taught school and then also worked a business from home, where she helped others, for 15 years full-time. She was in the Top 1% of leaders in that company and enjoyed teaching others how to have wellness, physically & financially. Having built that business one customer at a time, she understands the importance of customer service and satisfaction. It’s more about the relationship built, than anything. She has always been in a service-oriented career.

While working in healthcare, Amber met Qiana and knew from the moment they met, that she would love to work with Friendly Faces.

While raising her 3 daughters, Amber has been involved in many charities, raising money for noble causes. She also loves to serve at her church congregation as a greeter. She now serves as the Community Relations Manager for Friendly Faces and absolutely adores working with the seniors.

Ashleigh Grantham

Community Relations Manager – North Houston

Ashleigh Grantham was born and raised in the North Houston area. After high school, she attended Baylor University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Education with a minor in Business Administration.

At a young age, Ashleigh knew she wanted her forever career to be in a field where she could help and serve others. With a passion in healthcare, she saw the need for quality patient care and how important it is to help families in need of reliable, compassionate healthcare for their loved ones. Throughout college, Ashleigh spent her free time volunteering with a local hospice and home health agency where she helped families and seniors within the Waco, Texas community. After graduating from Baylor, Ashleigh worked several years in the health and wellness industry where she provided health services to patients all over the U.S. She also developed experience in medical sales and marketing which lead her to her current role with Friendly Faces Senior Care.

With compassion and desire to help others, Ashleigh looks forward to serving the families and seniors in the Greater Houston area with all of their home care needs!
